Capítulo 4B Holiday Celebrations
You have been invited to an elementary Spanish classroom to talk to children about how you used to celebrate holidays when you were their age.Tell about your childhood holidays. Write a 10-sentence paragraph in Spanish about your favorite holiday celebration. Use chapter 4B vocabulary and grammar. Include the following: a)Describe the people who were usually there, b) Where the celebration was held, c) What food and decorations you liked best, d) The things you used to do, e) What you used to like the most.

Capítulo 5A Natural Disasters
The local Spanish-language newspaper is sponsoring a contest that asks readers to write about their favorite disaster movie. Since the prize is a free movie pass at a local movie theater for a month, you decide to enter. Write a 10-sentence paragraph in Spanish about your favorite or least favorite disaster movie. Use chapter 5A vocabulary and grammar. As you write, include the following details: a) The type of disaster the movie portrayed, b) What caused the disaster, c) What people were doing before the disaster occurred, d) The outcome of the disaster, e) Describe who you think was the hero of the movie.

The school secretary asked you to write a summary as documentation for the school. Write a 10-sentence paragraph in Spanish reporting the accident. Use chapter 5B vocabulary and grammar. Make sure that you include all of the following information in your report: a) Time, date and place of the accident, b) Describe what the injured people were doing, c) What the injury was, d) What the most likely treatment was, e) Additional information.
